After seeing how many people loved my 2018 Bullet Journal post where I shared my hard-learned lessons from the previous year and 2018 set-up, I thought it would be a nice idea to share with you all my monthly spreads and records of my reading progress. Unfortunately, despite rushing to get my Bullet Journal February spread ready in time for the start of February, I never actually got round to sharing my pages with you all! 12 days late is better than never though I suppose 😉
As February is the month of both love and LGBT History month, I wanted to incorporate both of these themes into my spread. On the left, I have my very optimistic TBR list for the month and some of my monthly goals at the bottom. On the right is my Top 10 Tuesday prompt list so I don’t forget to post each week, and on the bottom is a list of 5 of the new releases for February that looked most interesting to me. You can find the original Tree of Hearts idea here on Pinterest which I adapted for the layout of my page. The washi tape on the bottom is Japenese Cherry Blossom tape from this tape collection, and I used my nice Papermaker metallic pens to write the February title.
This month I also wanted to include a small calendar to use as a blog planner in the hopes that it would make me more organized and consistent with my blogging. It’s nice to be able to look at what I’ve actually got coming up and be able to clearly assign posts to particular days, rather than feeling overwhelmed by it all!
I wanted to try something a little bit more adventurous in terms of the look of the page so I used this beautiful design but made it a little bit more simplified as I’m not as good an artist as the OP! As you can see, I can make little notes of when to post blogs on the calendar itself, then write any important non-blogging dates on the calendar on the right. Next to that is a tracker of any important blog themes I want to do under Important Dates, my Life & Lit important dates, and a Netgalley tracker for any books requested this month so I don’t request too many! At the bottom are blog ideas for this month.
It was really simple to make and I only used my pastel purple highlighter, a pencil, black fineliner 0.5, a purple coloring pencil and my purple fineliner.
Lastly, here’s a quick look at my Books Read tracker. I read 10 books in January and have read 3 so far this month. Each record has the name of the book, the date I finished it on and how many stars I rated it!
This was so helpfull to see! Thank you 😀
