The Truth About Forever
I came across the name Avery for the first time when I read The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. I used to love her books as a teenager and TTAF was the one that really struck a chord with me. While reading the books I discovered the name Avery and loved it. It was beautiful, unique and gender neutral! when choosing a new name for myself I actually didn’t consider Avery at first, but one day the name came back to me out of nowhere and I can’t imagine being called anything else now!
It was really fun thinking about what names I liked in order to write this post. I used to have a really long list of names that I loved, mostly based off of fictional characters, but I lost it many years ago. I should start keeping another one as I couldn’t remember any lol

founding ur name thru a favourite book sounds lowkey ideal! (mother tells me im named after anne of green gables but that’s not really the same, is it)

I love your name Avery, and I love that it’s a literary name 😍
I also chose my name, though mines yet to be a legal change. (Currently I just use it for the book world but my family and best friend all know that I will change it as soon as I can and know what I’m changing it to)
Soon I’ll have the money to spare to make it official, hopefully 🤞🏻 I’m getting rid of my whole name because I don’t know her 😂
The middle name I chose for myself is literary themed as well. Lila, from the Shades of Magic series!

Eyyy that’s cool! Literary names are always the best! I changed my entire name (including my surname) as well for the same reason
