Hey, chilly panda pops!
I simply cannot believe that this is the last TBR of 2018. Every year I have remarked on how quickly the months are passing and now the year is almost over in the blink of an eye. I have read so many amazing books this year and also many books I had planned to read fell by the wayside so this month will be dedicated to catching up on those books!
There are so many books that I want to try and squeeze in before the end of the year but realistically I’m probably not going to be able to read 50+ books in a month… As the Poppy War was possibly the biggest release of the year I absolutely have to read it before 2018 is over, and the Girl in the Tower is one I’ve been saving for December. I really wanted to read Children of Time and Beyond a Darkened Shore in November but couldn’t fit them in, so they’ve been carried over. I must finish my Defy the Worlds ARC and I’m doing a buddy read of The Extinction Trials with Ashley (my first buddy read ever!)
If I manage to get through those then I want to try and read a few extra ARCs of books that came out last month or are going to be released in December including A Spy in the Deep by Patrick Samphire, Green Jay and Crow by D.J Daniels, and The Young Explorer’s Guide Adventure Guide Volume 5!
What are you all planning to read for the last month of 2018?
Are there any books that you’re desperate to squeeze in, or are you planning on taking a more relaxed approach?
I need to read The Poppy War as well! I’ve been putting it off since it’s one of the books I just want to read as a physical copy haha I do have the e-ARC though! Do you want to buddy read? 🙂

I get the same feeling every year in December! Like how did the time pass so quickly? There are still so many books! I’m trying to round out the year with 10 books this month, so fingers crossed that we both meet our goals!

Thanks! I hope you have a great December and manage to read your 10 books. I’m looking forward to the Christmas break when I can just dedicate more time to reading

Great TBR! The Poppy War sounds really good. I definitely plan to read that at some point next year. Let me know when you want to start The Extinction Trials. We can start it whenever, no rush. 🙂

We could plan to start it on the 17th? That way I’ll have more of an incentive to read my 600 page book I’m currently reading faster so it doesn’t take the entire month haha

Sure, the 17th sounds good to me! 🙂 It sometimes takes me forever to read bigger books too haha.

I hope I enjoy it too! I’ve heard such amazing things about it and Rebecca Kuang is incredible, so I’ll be super surprised if I don’t love it too!

I refuse to make December a catch-up month because it’ll give me even more the feeling how this year has gone by so quickly, haha. [Not to mention how confronting it is that I’m due in a little over two months. Time FLIES. D:]
I am, however, focusing on diversity, yay! So many books I want to read that fit my December theme. I made a TBR but I keep picking up other books so.. I have no clue where I’ll end up, really.
Hope this last month of 2018 treats you well! ❤

OMFG HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 2 MONTHS LEFT?! I literally don’t understand how the time went so quickly. At least you’ll get to meet your new little person soon and they can stop kicking you from the inside :’)

Right?! Just half an hour ago, a colleague went “Oh, two months and you won’t be at work for a long time” and I was like “I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO BEFORE THEN. HELP ME.”
Hahaha, especially the latter. He does not stop kicking. Ever. I’m thrilled he isn’t kicking me awake anymore though – hope he keeps that up or I’ll be back to zombie-mode in no time. :’)

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Poppy War! That’s a book I want to read but don’t know if I will ever be in the right mindset for. Children of Time’s cover is beautiful and I am off to find out more about it now.

I am so curious to see what you will think of Defy the Worlds. I’m hoping to read The Girl in the Tower this Winter at some point. I want to read some arcs and some christmas reads this last month first. 🙂
