Currently Reading/Playing

I literally just finished my current read last night so for once I’m actually not reading anything right now!

Game-wise I’m still stuck in my nice, comforting Sims 4 hole. As I have Origin Premier, I get random store deals and it recently offered me 50% off on a bunch of Sim 4 games so I purchased the Seasons expansion and the ‘my first pet’ game pack to play alongside Get to Work and Dine Out. Needless to say Sims 4 has been an actual god send for me this week and something which is helping me keep my sanity at the moment.

Recently Finished

yaqui delgado

I finally did it! I finally read Yaqui Delgado and I loved it so much. This book has been on my TBR since 2014 and it was set as one of my March deadlines for Down the TBR Hole. Once I finished You Asked for Perfect I wasn’t ready for the pressure of another ARC and wanted a nice backlist book. This turned out to be the perfect read and it is super underrated.

New Suns Cover

I also read one of my March ARCs, New Suns, which I enjoyed a lot. There are so many fantastic stories in this anthology alongside the powerful foreward by LeVar Burton and afterward by Nisi Shawl on the importance of authors of color. I’m looking forward to reviewing this one for you all soon!

Next Read/Play

My next ARC I need to read is The Luminous Dead which I am very intrigued by as I don’t normally read horror and I also have an unexpected ARC of The Migration which I would like to try to read before the end of the month. I am really in the mood for some backlist reads right now but I also want to keep on top of my ARCs so I am experiencing all kinds of reading dilemmas right now.

I’m not even going to pretend that I have any intentions of playing anything other than the Sims 4 this week. I need all of this cozy game in my life right now as its the perfect escape from all of the stress of life and health crappiness.

This week has been pretty awful for me in terms of health stuff as my body is really worn down at the moment so I’m getting a lot of pain and illness. Thankfully I had booked time off at work so I’ve been able to spend the time resting in bed which has also meant lots more time for reading!
As always, let me know what you’ve been reading and/or playing this week ❤

  1. Glad to see you read Yaqui Delgado and loved it! I have it on my TBR too and really hope to get to it soon. I’ve kind of neglecting my ARCs, ughh. Hoping to read at least two more before the month ends. Crossing fingers! I’m sad I could never get into The Sims for some reason. Happy to see that it’s been just what you needed this week.

  2. Sims is one of those games you can waste hours on and not even notice, which is why I love it. I’ll spend weeks playing it non-stop and then weeks never touching it, and yet it’s so easy to pick up again. Have fun playing!
