WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:
What are you currently reading/playing?
What did you recently finish reading/playing?
What do you think you’ll read/play next?
Last week I gave WWW Wednesday a miss as I had hit a bit of a slump and didn’t have anything new to report. It seems I am back on track this week though with a flurry of reading and video game activity which is making me much happier.
Currently Reading/Playing
At the time of writing this I am cheating a little bit because I technically haven’t started this yet but as of the time you reading this on Wednesday I will be reading it! The Vegetarian has a Down the TBR Hole Deadline for this month so I am reading it for my Charms O.W.L in the readathon this month. I’ve heard interesting things about it and the blurb sounds weird as hell so I’m intrigued to see how it will go…
I’m back on my Divinity: Original Sin 2 playthrough which feels great (even when I get stuck and frustrated with it haha). I noticed that I had been starting a lot of new games recently without actually finishing any so made a commitment to get back to playing Divinity with a view to finishing it soon. Whether I’ll be able to keep making time for it is another question entirely.
Recently Finished
I finally finished Wicked Saints and it was so good. I enjoyed it immensely and I’m very excited to see what Emily A. Duncan serves us in the next book. ICYMI, I took part in the Wicked Saints Blog Tour last month and posted up my review of the book last week if you want to check them out!
I literally just finished reading Summer Bird Blue and oh my god it was everything I was hoping it would be and more. I’m a huge fan of Akemi Dawn Bowman so I’m sure it’s no surprise how much I loved this book. I was lucky enough to also take part in the Summer Bird Blue blog tour on Monday where I shared a playlist I created especially for the book.
I’ve been meaning to play What Remains of Edith Finch since last year but never made time for it. As it was one of my games on my Sidequest 2019 Gaming Challenge list I thought I’d give it a go at the weekend. It’s a super short game, I completed it in 2 hours, and I have a lot of feelings about it. I’m hoping to write a little thought piece about the representation of death in it and reactions to the game as a walking simulator soon.
Next Read/Play
As I’ve only just started (ssh!) The Vegetarian I’m not 100% sure what I want my next read to be. Station Eleven is one of the books I had listed for my Care of Magical Creatures O.W.L and also has a Down the TBR Hole deadline for this month. If not then I might pick up Tone of Voice or A Torch Against the Night for my Potions O.W.L as Potions and Care of Magical creatures are my priority O.W.Ls for my Magizoologist career!
As for video games, I will be continuing on with my Divinity: Original Sin 2 playing and don’t anticipate finishing it by next week or having the time to play anything else!
Let me know what you all are reading this week and anything good that you have finished reading or playing recently!

Happy to see that you’re back on track! 🙂 I seen that you were reading Vegetarian and looked it up. It sounds really interesting, so I may have to read it really soon to see how it goes. Luckily my library has a copy available. Just have to get through a few of these books on my TBR list for this month first haha. I can’t wait to read Wicked Saints, happy to see you liked it so much. Summer Bird Blue sounds good.
