Top 10 Tuesday | Spring TBR

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book tag that was run by The Broke and the Bookish but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a different bookish theme those deep-seated desires to list! Anyone is welcome to join in on their blog, in the comments or any other way.

I haven’t done a Top 10 Tuesday post in what feels like forever, in fact, the last one I did was at the end of January! However, after seeing everyone else’s TTT posts today with their Spring TBR’s I felt inspired to join in for this week’s prompt. You know me, I can never resist an opportunity for a good TBR list!

Recently I’ve been feeling a lot of pressure over what I “should” be reading – my ARCs, my backlist books, my owned books… – and it’s been taking some of my enjoyment out of reading. Obviously there are quite a lot of books I “should” be including here on my Spring TBR but I want this to be a TBR of Spring goodness and fun rather than misery and pressure!

I have been discovering some excellent books lately that I have been excitedly hoarding away on my Goodreads shelves so needless to say I’ve been looking forward to this week’s topic so I can share some of them with you. As to whether I’ll ever get round to reading them… well… come and see me this time next year!

Top 10 Tuesday | Lesser Known Books I Meant to Read in 2018

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book tag that was run by The Broke and the Bookish but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a different bookish theme those deep-seated desires to list! Anyone is welcome to join in on their blog, in the comments or any other way.

If there’s one thing all of us book bloggers have in common, it’s our very long lists of books we meant to read at some time or another and there are so many books in the world that it’s only natural that some always seem to get left behind more than others. Throughout all of 2018 and the beginning of this month, I’ve already shared many lists of books that I meant to read and these lists often mention the same books over and over again. So, instead of sharing big name books that always get attention I thought I would with you all some of the lesser known books on my 2018 TBR that I didn’t get round to instead!

Top 10 Tuesday | New-to-me Authors for 2019

As I already did a little 2018 new-to-me authors section in my ‘best of 2018’ post, I thought it would be cool to look ahead at new-to-me authors that I’ll be reading in 2019. I loved discovering new authors last year and many of their books became my favourite books of 2018 so I’m looking forward to seeing what new-to-me authors 2019 brings me.

Top 10 Tuesday | 2019 Most Anticipated Releases

– Top 10 Most Anticipated Releases of 2019 –

Today truly is the day of 2019 anticipated releases posts and its been so fun to look through everyone else’s posts to see what releases they’re most excited about. As for me, I’ve been using Kaleena’s handy spreadsheet to keep track of all of the new releases I’ve been looking forward which means my list is already ready to go. Most surprising is that this year there is hardly any YA on this list, might it be that my YA days are slowly drawing to a close?! This year looks to definitely be the year of SFF.
