12 Books I Need to Read in 2020

It’s January which means it’s a list month extravaganza so here’s another list for you – this time on the books that I want to read in 2020. Every year I make a list of my priority reads for the year, every year the year ends with me not having read most of the books on it. This year though I am determined to read all of these – don’t rain on my parade. Each cover links to its goodreads page.

Hey friends! Once again I’ve started a new year with no plans to join in any readathons but there was no way that I could resist this adorable and heart-warming #StartOnYourShelfathon courtesy of CW at the magical The Quiet Pond. It also coincides really well with having recently completed my ‘owned book’ section on Kal’s book blogger spreadsheet with my owned book total going up to 100 unread books, so I am definitely in need of this readathon!

Book Haul | July + August 5 Star Predictions

I was planning on posting up a review today because it has been so long since I’ve posted one but have had a really difficult day. Instead, I was inspired by Fay’s 5 Star TBR prediction post and decided to do one based around my July and August haul of YALC books, ARCs, gifts, and charity shop finds!

The Sunday Post | Post-Con Feels

Hello friends, welcome to The Sunday Post – a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer to share all the weekly news and feels!

I’ve fallen a bit behind with blogging again but I have a legitimate reason this time – post-con emotions. Last weekend (10-12th August) I embarked on my yearly holiday at Nine Worlds – a fun and geeky convention where we talk (sing and quiz) about all things fandom! Nine Worlds is always the highlight of my year. It’s the only convention I go to, it’s the only holiday we go on, and it’s been a life-changing event for me. I’ve made so many wonderful friends who I honestly couldn’t imagine not having in my life now, it’s helped me to build so much confidence around socializing with people, and it’s been amazing for my academic progression. I’ve been fortunate enough to speak at Nine Worlds for the past 3 years in a row on all kinds of topics and it has been amazing to speak to people who enjoy my panels. It’s a platform that I would never have otherwise had and I continue to be so thankful to Nine Worlds for all the great things it has given me.
