I’ve seem quite a few people joining in with this great Spring Cleaning tag and couldn’t resist joining in too, especially given our recent spring cleaning session.
The struggle of getting started: A book or series you struggle to begin because of its size
At 600 pages, Children of Time is a beast (in more ways than one) and definitely intimidated me before I picked it up. It was sat on my TBR for a long time before I finally got my hands on a physical copy, and then sat on my bookshelf being a large book friend for a few months before I finally read it. Once I started though I couldn’t stop because it’s a phenomenal book.

In honor of her blog’s third anniversary this month, Wendy tagged me in the ‘Blog Glo-Up Tag‘ that she created to celebrate. I’ve been aware that I haven’t been posting many book tags recently but have been eager to get back into doing book tag Thursdays and, as next month will be my own two year blogging anniversary, I thought this one would be perfect.

Thanks to January’s late-a-thon, 2019 is off to a pretty good start. Although I’ve been horrifically busy with my PhD application and starting a new job I was able to get a fair few overdue ARCs finished up as well as (finally) posting to a reasonably consistent level. Yet, when I recently looked back through my blog posts whilst doing my brand redesign, I noticed that I very rarely review my favourite books. I usually review most of the other books that I read, but I just find reviewing my favourites so hard, I never know what to say! Despite not reviewing them, I still get a lot of people who tell me that they read one of my faves though I never reviewed them.
So, how can we hype up our favourite reads outside of reviewing?

I missed book tag Thursday yesterday because I had my first shift at my new job! I can’t remember if I told you all about it but I’m one of the new operations assistants at a local community centre working part-time while I study. I also had to finish my PhD application which was due in today, so I’ve had a pretty busy few days and fell a bit behind with blogging.
Here’s a fun little tag to catch up on my missed day yesterday!
