Pride: Recommendations

It wouldn’t be Pride without some excellent LGBTQIA+ recommendations to get you through the month. As there are already so many excellent recommendation lists out there, especially this amazingly comprehensive list by The Illustrated Page, my post is going to be focusing on some of my favourite LGBTQIA+ books or ones that I am most looking forward to reading!

N/B – These rep lists are not totally complete either because I haven’t read the book yet or I have read the book but forgotten some of the rep!

April TBR | Autism Awareness Month & My Birthday!!

April is the best month of all because it’s my birthday and it’s right in the middle of the month so I always try to get away with not doing things “because it’s my birthday”. I’ve had a few people ask me about buying me gifts for my birthday – if you would like to buy me anything then you can check out my amazon wishlist! My birthday is April 15th 🙂 That’s right – I am the most irritating combination of a Gryffindor AND being an Aries.

April is also awesome because its Autism Awareness Month! Sadly, I don’t usually see as many people talking about Autism Awareness Month as they do about other awareness months so I want to try to do some Autism themed posts to celebrate the month!

Top 10 Tuesday | New To Me Authors 2017

– Top 10 New to me Authors that I Read in 2017 –

2017 really was the year of exploration for me and it’s something I definitely want to continue into 2018. Being able to read more meant that I was able to branch out and discover loads of new authors and their wonderful works. I love this week’s T101T topic because we often spend a lot of time celebrating the books we love, sometimes without ever really celebrating the very authors who created those books. So, here are some of my favourite author discoveries of last year!

Top 10 Tuesday | Graphic Novels to read in 2017

Of course, Top 10 Tuesday would go on a hiatus at the time when I wanted to get involved! No fear though, while the creator of T10T over at The Broke and the Bookish may be on a break, people are still participating with their own topics in the mean time! I’ve decided to do the same topic as the lovely Kate (Reading Through Infinity) this week, who exposed me to T10T in the first place, on “Top 10 Graphic Novels to read in 2017”. I really love graphic novels and have some amazzzzzinnggggg ones on my TBR list that I want to share with you all!
