It’s January which means it’s a list month extravaganza so here’s another list for you – this time on the books that I want to read in 2020. Every year I make a list of my priority reads for the year, every year the year ends with me not having read most of the books on it. This year though I am determined to read all of these – don’t rain on my parade. Each cover links to its goodreads page.

The Weekly Wrap | 15th January 2020
The Weekly Wrap is a new weekly post created by Destiny which combines the WWW Wednesday meme and The Sunday Post to bring readers the best of both worlds within one tidy post. Here you can catch up with my weekly news including what I’m reading, playing and blogging about as well as general life updates.
WWW Wednesday | 11th September 2019
WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:
What are you currently reading/playing?
What did you recently finish reading/playing?
What do you think you’ll read/play next?
I’m continuing to have quite a difficult time at the moment as my depression has taken a bit of a nosedive, likely in response to stress around my dissertation which I’ve had to get an extension for. However, I’ve actually been able to use this time to seek solace in books rather than sitting in a massive blanket puddle not doing anything and I’ve been able to get a lot of reading done this week which is great!
Saturday Smalls: 24th August 2019 | Silkpunk, Latinx Poetry, WW2 & NSFW Graphic Novels
Welcome to Saturday Smalls, a weekly review feature which was originally created by Destiny at Howling Libraries!
Each Saturday Smalls will include a handful of mini-reviews for books that I’ve read but didn’t get a chance to review at the time and, once I catch up, I will then use it to review books I don’t feel I can commit to doing a full review for. A huge thank you to the lovely Destiny for letting me adopt Saturday Smalls.
This week’s mini-review round-up includes:
- Adult Fantasy/Silkpunk novel
- YA Contemporary/Poetry
- Adult historical fiction novel
- Adult graphic novels
World Con 2019 | Book Haul & TBR
It has been a super intense week and I am also just starting to recover from my epic trip to Dublin to attend World Con 2019. I set off for Dublin on Thursday morning, went straight from the airport to the con center and it was pretty non-stop from there until I got home on Monday evening (plus 2 days recovery). I want to do a proper event review over the weekend because there were honestly so many incredible highlights that I want share with you all but even the thought of going back over it so soon is exhausting!
For now though, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about BOOKS because that’s really what we’re all here for :’) I was very well behaved at World Con on account of a) financial constraints and b) not being able to afford to carry anything back to the UK so I thought it would be a good idea to combine a haul post with a post-World Con TBR. Of course there were so many panels with so many amazing recommendations so naturally my TBR list has grown exponentially. I hope you’re tempted to add them all to your TBR’s too 😉
