University Reading List | The Undergraduate Edition

Hey friends!

Earlier in the month, Rita did a great post where she recapped some of her university readings with us. Although I’ve been a university student for almost the entire time I’ve been a book blogger, I don’t often share the readings I do or have done in the past here mainly because I feel like no one would be interested as I don’t do a literature degree? When I shared this feeling with Rita she encouraged me to do my own post, so I thought I would try it out and see what you all think!

Top 10 Tuesday | Lesser Known Books I Meant to Read in 2018

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book tag that was run by The Broke and the Bookish but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a different bookish theme those deep-seated desires to list! Anyone is welcome to join in on their blog, in the comments or any other way.

If there’s one thing all of us book bloggers have in common, it’s our very long lists of books we meant to read at some time or another and there are so many books in the world that it’s only natural that some always seem to get left behind more than others. Throughout all of 2018 and the beginning of this month, I’ve already shared many lists of books that I meant to read and these lists often mention the same books over and over again. So, instead of sharing big name books that always get attention I thought I would with you all some of the lesser known books on my 2018 TBR that I didn’t get round to instead!

Down the TBR Hole | #3

Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lia @ Lost in a Story

Welcome to the third instalment of Down the TBR Hole! I’ve been having a great time with Down the TBR Hole so far and am loving getting my GR shelves in better order. I’ve been adding a lot of books to my TBR recently though so I have a lot of organizing to do to keep it contained!

How it works:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 books)
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

October TBR | Black History Month

Hello Panda friends!

October is set to be a super busy month for me. If you saw my most recent installment of The Sunday Post you will have read that I will now be juggling postgraduate study with my blogging, reading and reviewing! Whilst I really enjoyed my time away from the restrictions of TBR’s, I know that I will need to be a lot more organized from now on if I’m going to be able to balance my academic and personal reading lists so I’m bringing back my monthly TBR posts, at least for the time being.

Most Popular Books versus the Highest Rated Books on my TBR

This past week has ended up being a very Goodreads inspired blogging week. This time I’ve been inspired by Destiny’s super fun post. The aim is to sort your Goodreads TBR shelf according to the number of ratings (“num ratings”) and share the books which are the most popular.

When I tried it out the other day I thought it was really interesting alternating between the most popular books and the highest rated books on my TBR because those two things are very different. So I’m going to divide this post into most popular versus highest rated for a fun comparison! As there are quite a few books which appeared on my highest rated list that either hadn’t been reviewed as the book isn’t released yet (and no ARCs released) or only had less than 5 reviews, I will only be including books that have been released (including ARCs) and that have more than 30 reviews.
