Wrap Up | May: AAPI Heritage Month
Hey Panda friends!
I absolutely cannot believe that it is the end of May and we’re already halfway through 2018. Whaaaaaaaat?! Idk how time is flying so fast and I always seem to be so behind on everything. May seems to have been a massive blip for me in terms of organization so sadly I didn’t get to post most of the topics I had planned and only read 3 out of 8 on my TBR! Oops… BUT I did read some fantastic books this month anyway and am smashing my Goodreads Challenge (which I have now increased from 50 to 75 books).
Top 10 Tuesday | Series I Need to Finish
Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book tag that was run by The Broke and the Bookish but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a different bookish theme those deep-seated desires to list! Anyone is welcome to join in on their blog, in the comments or any other way.Â
– Top 10 Series I’m Yet to Finish –Â
I’ve been struggling quite a bit with TTT recently as I just haven’t been feeling the chosen topics for each week but I really love posting something each week. So this week I’ve decided to just choose my own topic! At the beginning of the year, I made a little BuJo spread of all the series I needed to finish, but inevitably rather than finish any series I have started even more series… So now my life is drowning in a sea of unfinished series. Also after finishing writing this I’m preettyyyyy sure I’ve actually already done this topic but… it’s always relevant so here we go again!
May TBR | READ MORE BOOKS BY PASIFIKA AUTHORS
A whole new month has arrived quicker than it should have and it brings Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM) with it. For those who don’t know what that means, AAPIHM celebrates the culture, traditions, and history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. The reason that I emphasize the and in that sentence is that many Pasifika peoples are erased during AAPIHM. This was first brought to my attention by a Pasifika blogger who wrote about Pacific Island Books and Erasure in the Book Community, and which inspired me to write an awareness-raising article trying to bring this to the attention of bloggers I was in contact with.

April TBR | Autism Awareness Month & My Birthday!!
April is the best month of all because it’s my birthday and it’s right in the middle of the month so I always try to get away with not doing things “because it’s my birthday”. I’ve had a few people ask me about buying me gifts for my birthday – if you would like to buy me anything then you can check out my amazon wishlist! My birthday is April 15th 🙂 That’s right – I am the most irritating combination of a Gryffindor AND being an Aries.
April is also awesome because its Autism Awareness Month! Sadly, I don’t usually see as many people talking about Autism Awareness Month as they do about other awareness months so I want to try to do some Autism themed posts to celebrate the month!
