12 Books I Need to Read in 2020

It’s January which means it’s a list month extravaganza so here’s another list for you – this time on the books that I want to read in 2020. Every year I make a list of my priority reads for the year, every year the year ends with me not having read most of the books on it. This year though I am determined to read all of these – don’t rain on my parade. Each cover links to its goodreads page.

14 Book Releases to Look Forward To in 2020

As always, I love spending the beginning of the year looking forward to see what’s being published in the coming year to discover which books excite me, which to keep an eye on, and which I definitely need to get my hands on (sorry backlog TBR!). With every year that I’m a book blogger, it brings my heart so much joy to watch the increasing amount of diverse fiction being published. This year there are so many incredible diverse books written by diverse authors being published that I can’t wait to read and champion. Here are 14 of my most anticipated 2020 releases – each book includes the Goodreads blurb and a šŸ” to signify my reason for including it on my list. Covers link back to GR.

September TBR | The Calm Before the Storm

Hello, hello friends!

I can’tĀ believeĀ that September is already here?! I know I’ve said that pretty much every month this year but it is even truer for September. It feels like not that long ago that I was starting my Masters last September and now we’reĀ backĀ in September and this time I’m about to start my PhD?? I honestly do not really know how I got here but September/October is going to be a pretty big month for me and the start of another 3-year foray (at the very least) into education. I am clearly a glutton for punishment.

Speaking of being a glutton for punishment, I still want to keep up with my blog in whatever way I can manage so I don’t foresee myself going anywhere over the next months. Not only am I going to be sticking around but I’m hoping to introduce a new feature to put the spotlight on indie and/or diverse authors. I’ve been wanting to introduce this since the start of the year and feel particularly inspired to after World Con in August. I’m also hoping to set up a book blogger streaming collective with a few blogger friends. So, lots of exciting things ahead. Do you think I’ll have time for reading too? šŸ˜‚

June TBR | Sims-a-thon

I wasn’t planning on doing any readathons over the summer but there was no way that I could resist this perfect Sims-a-thon! Readathons have always been a great way to encourage me to read and I feel that now is a great time to take advantage of that motivation given my YALC (July) and Hugo Awards (August) reading lists. What better way to tackle these reading lists than combining my goals and my love of reading with my love for the Sims?!
