State of the ARC | #2

State of the ARC is a monthly meme at Avalinah’s Books meant to motivate you to finish up all your long overdue ARCs (Advanced or Early Reader Copies).

I missed posting my September edition of State of the ARC due to my hiatus for the blog redesign, but my State of the ARC is back for October and there has been some progress – both in terms of books read and books acquired aha! Thank you to Lauren for the heads up of where to make this neat looking graph as it makes the information much better organized.

Between August 15th and today (October 6th), I read 3 ARCs, DNF’d 1, acquired 8, and am currently reading 1! I have been being really well behaved and staying away from Netgalley to avoid the temptation of requesting anymore ARCs as I have been wanting to get through some of the ones I’ve had on Netgalley since the beginning of the summer. However, in an interesting turn of events, all of the ARCs which I received were from publishers and authors, something which has never happened to me before. I feel incredibly fortunate to be provided physical ARCs from publishers and authors, but of course, it’s meant that my ARC pile has shot up quite a bit.

How is the current state of your ARC piles? Do you have a similar feeling of drowning or are you feeling pretty on top at the moment?

What ARCs do you have that you’re looking forward to reading or which ones have you lost all motivation for?

  1. Ahh good luck with your ARCs! I’ve been requesting and accepting less books these past few months, because I always feel so pressured, but I’m slowly getting back into it. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy The Gilded King much, either, I almost DNF’d it as well. :/

    Great post! 🙂
