How to hype your favourite reads

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve done a discussion post and today I wanted to discuss with you all different ways that we can hype and support our favourite reads outside of reviews. I think one of the biggest misconceptions about book blogging is that you have to review everything and if you’re not reviewing books then you’re not supporting those books or authors.  Yet, when I recently looked back through my blog posts whilst doing my brand redesign, I noticed that I very rarely review my favourite books. I usually review most of the other books that I read, but I just find reviewing my favourites so hard, I never know what to say! Despite not reviewing them, I still get a lot of people who tell me that they read one of my faves though I never reviewed them.

So, how can we hype up our favourite reads outside of reviewing?

2018 in Review | The Best Books of 2018

2018 has been an absolutely incredible year here at Red Rocket Panda. Although I technically set up my blog in April 2017, I didn’t start properly blogging until January 2018 and I cannot believe how much this blog has grown – I’ve made some fantastic friends, read a tonne of brilliant books, and enjoyed bringing you all content throughout the year.

One of the things that surprised me the most is that I managed to not only smash my original reading goal of reading 50 books this year, but I also smashed my second goal of 75. As of today, I have read 81 books which is 55 books more than last year. I wanted to share with you all some of my favourite books as well as new-to-me authors that I’ve read and discovered this year!

Top 10 Tuesday | Genres I Hated at School

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book tag that was run by The Broke and the Bookish but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a different bookish theme those deep-seated desires to list! Anyone is welcome to join in on their blog, in the comments or any other way.

I haven’t done a TTT for a very long time and hadn’t been planning on doing one today. However, after reading Kate’s fantastic ‘best contemporaries set in school‘ TTT list (and her inquiring so nicely as to whether I was doing it this week) I thought I’d join in this week. The prompt for this week was ‘back to school/learning freebie’ and thought it’d be interesting to share with you all some of my most hated genres (and books!) that I actually really love now!

So, let’s get started…
